Heated Mattress Pad

Is there anything worse than a cold night? Struggling to sleep as you shiver through the night is no laughing matter - you just end up cold and tired...not exactly ideal for a long days work, or an even longer days play. But thankfully there are options.

Quite a number of options actually. Expensive central heating is one, another would be an extra duvet. But a far more practical idea for helping to keep you warm at night, and so allow you a good nights sleep, is a heated mattress pad.

Just think how nice it would be to go to sleep on a nice toasty mattress, padded for comfort, rather than shaking all night from the cold. Which is why a heated mattress pad is so great.

We don't sleep on the floor because it is cold and uncomfortable. So what do we do if our mattress is cold and uncomfortable? Add something that is warm and comfortable, something like an electrical heated mattress pad!

So why should you look to use a heated mattress pad vs other heating options? there are w ide range of advantages including;

1. Saves bills. An electrical heated mattress pad saves a lot on costs vs many other heating options. We all know how much it costs to heat a house with central heating - a lot (so my bills attest to), having it on all night is a great way to drain your bank account.
   
   Electrical heaters also use more electricity than an electrical heated mattress pad, costing you yet more money.
   
   
2. Direct heat. Other heating options like central heating and in room heaters just heat general areas. The heated mattress pad focuses the heat on you, stopping heat being wasted, and meaning you get the full benefit.
   
   
3. More comfortable. One of the problems with adding an extra duvet is that the extra weight makes it difficult to sleep. The padding does away with this, and adds extra comfort in the form of padding - allowing for a better nights sleep.
   
   
4. Stays on. Unlike a duvet, which slips off too easily (especially when on another duvet rather than your body) the electrical heated mattress pad will be on as long as you leave it on.

So we have seen the importance of the electrical heated mattress pad to stop you turning into a big icicle at night (I'll swear it could happen). But there is one more important tip to take on board before you go out and buy your night time heating option - the dual control heated mattress pad.

If you are lucky enough to share your bed with someone else (or in my wife's case, unlucky enough to share one with me) then the odds are you will be aware that you both prefer slightly different heats to each other. Sleeping when too hot is almost as bad as sleeping when too cold.

Which is where the dual control heated mattress pad comes in. because the dual controls are, well, dual, they work both sides of the heated pad separately - meaning one person in the bed can have one temperature, one another.

So this means that a dual control heated mattress pad can help stop arguments and allow both of you to get a good nights sleep. Well most of the time, won't stop my snoring so not sure the wife will be getting any more sleep!
